Best Lens for Storytelling #sony
Переглядів 2,1 тис.3 місяці тому
Shoutout to @bhphoto @bh.creators @sony for partnering with me and gifting me this lens I have a couple use cases for this lens outside of shallow depth of field and bokeh Feel 1. I tend to use wider lenses so that my audience feels like they’re there in the space I’m filming in 2. But sometimes, it doesn’t motivate certain parts of the story 3. 50mm is a standard focal length to use for close ...

When I began learning and practicing photography in 2010, I felt like I found my instrument to create in this world. The camera felt like an extension of my will. I went through so many phases in my creativity. As I look back on a lot ...

Start your free trial at squarespace.com/chrischu and use code CHRISCHU to get 10% off your first purchase. With new year, we're going back to photographing the Chinese New Year celebrations in NYC with my Leica M6 kit and a looser idea on my documentary project. This will be my 3rd year contributing to this in 2024, and I'm starting to feel lost. This photography project might be too broad and...

Let's Debate: Is Photography a Responsibility?
Переглядів 4,1 тис.6 місяців тому
Start your free trial at squarespace.com/chrischu and use code CHRISCHU to get 10% off your first purchase. For the past few months, I've started to consider if there's any responsibility in my photography. More specifically, should I be responsible in using my photography consistently for a so-called "greater good"? In documentary photography, it's hard to decide when it's okay to not use my c...
How an Emmy-Nominated Reporter became a Storytelling Photographer
Переглядів 7 тис.6 місяців тому
Here's a story about a local photographer who was an Emmy-Nominated reporter for 12 years before pivoting to something more creative in photography. Naeem Douglas is a staple and a figure in the photography scene in New York. His street portraiture combined with his signature of grouping people together in a lovely manner is what helped him grow connections to the people of NYC. So much so, Nae...
7 Days in Portugal on Film | Leica M6
Переглядів 10 тис.7 місяців тому
Join me in Portugal in March 2024!: fourtrees-portugal.com/ I spent 7 days in Portugal because of the basketball photos I made in New York City. A former German basketball player turned business owner, Jan, invited me to the countryside in Portugal to work on a story together. He allowed me full access to his home and businesses to document his life and the beauty of the country. I used my two ...

Quick Tip to Improve your #photography

God awful music
You wasted our time by reviewing a product you don’t know how to use!!
35 cron 8 elements is better in B&W Lux 35 v2 and the KOB have exactly the same optics beyond f2
3 minutes into this video and I get a NEJI WITH THE 8 TRIGRAMS REFFERENCE?!?! MY MAN. You have just reached god tier on my YT photography roster. Thank you for all your good works 😂❤
I used 'Blads (500C/M, 500 ELX, SWC/M) for decades throughout my professional career. I used both 120 & 220 film. I always had a strap on my camera, and that was always around my neck, unless the camera was on a tripod or a studio-stand. I always used a lens hood, the bellows hoods are particularly good. Focusing can be quick with a quick-focus handle. To minimise shake the rear body shutter and mirror can be pre-released so that the shutter release button, or cable release, only triggers the lens shutter. To compare 6x6 and 35mm focal lengths for a 10"x8" print, the ratio is 11:6, so a 50mm lens roughly equates to a 28mm lens.
Ill be buying one of these soon. I bought a pack film camera from Nate years ago. Then Fuji f'd me by 86'ing pack film. Nate's camera was amazing.
hello, where did you by the nate camera ? i really want to buy one too
I know this video is 2 years + old, I recently picked up a M10-R, and this is helping me get ready for an upcoming trip.
Bought my Leica Q in 2023, and ABSOLUTELY love this camera... JPEGS for me, are perfect.
God wit breaks but missing youre videos :)
You, Sir, are a really good photographer. 📸
At last !!! Someone who really explains and give examples of a photo storytelling 😎. I am tired of people talking about storytelling in photos but they doesn’t accept that NOT EVERY PHOTO TELLS A STORY🤨 Like you said, it has to be intentionally taken in some specific way as to tell the freaking story !!! Thank You very much 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
SA😂
This was so informative! Thanks man!
and here i am with the Q3 :D
Where do you get your prints from
These sounds are filling me with G.A.S. Gear acquisition syndrome! Subbed! Nice vid man. To cope with my jealousy I just put out a short where I pretend to be a leica shooter.
That’s me 😂
Amazing 😊
Great and Honest Review!! For me 24mp is more than enough. I own Fuji XT2 and love it ever since. I Don't need more MP than that. Most people always want New things releases that they Don't freaking need it (Q2 and now Q3 to Q10 later on). In their mind they think NEW it's Better.😅
A fantastic conversation. This gives me so much to think about. Thank you both!
any youtube video of your develop process and conversion to digital images?
You amazed me on how fast you focus. I will be stressed on losing a moment.
I am on the fence for an MP and/ or a Fuji GF670. Mamiya is also awesome but even harder to get. Already use minoltas for 35mm. Any recommendations?
it's called RANGE FOCUSING. Zone focusing is not a thing. Someone confusaed it with the zone system -- Ansel Adam's technique, to determine the correct exposure.
Pleeeeeease, make a video teaching how to do it :) I bag you
Very well done! So much quality! This is what I open UA-cam everyday for. Thank you for making this.
This Summicron is not the King of bockeh. The Summilux 35mm f1,4 steel ring is the right King in Leica history.
Dude. The whole barber scene is incredible. The framing. The bw. Nice one.
Needed this
omygahhh I love this! I think I am getting Ektar!
If you paid that much for any of those two cameras you got ripped off.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nice T-Shirt
Legit loved this.. and needed it
Loved this bro! Rest is essential. It makes me ask myself, how much are we pouring out? And how much are we allowing ourselves to be poured in, so we can go continue to pour out our creativity! Fire video!
